Issue 03 - the water issue
The story was inspired by the oil spill disasters, the most devastating disasters that can happen
to our planet. The oil industry has been responsible for some of the largest environmental disasters in history. From the Deepwater Horizon disaster in 2010 to Norilsk and Mauritius in 2020. Oil spills are
happening disturbingly often in the last 20 years. The impact of
these spills can be catastrophic
for marine ecosystems, flora, fauna, and the society. The effects of oil spills can last for decades, and the damage they cause is often irreversible. The editorial S-O-S is a help message and the question to society, how we can help prevent future environmental disasters and
protect our planet for generations to come.
